Any user can delete content by editing a page. The content will still be available in the page history. Administrators can delete articles so they are no longer viewable by non-admins. Before you delete anything, please note that it is often a mistake to delete content.

Requesting deletion of a page

There are three ways to propose a page for deletion:

  1. If the page is a candidate for speedy deletion (CSD), add {{delete}}.
  2. If the page is not a CSD and the reason for deleting it is short, add {{proposed deletion because|reason}} (replacing "reason" with the reason it should be deleted.
  3. If the page is not a CSD and needs a longer explanation for the proposed deletion, add {{proposed deletion}} to the page and explain the reason on the talk page.

For non-speedy candidates, the pages should be kept for around a week before being deleted (assuming there is agreement that they should be deleted).

Please replace potential copyright violations with {{copyvio}}.
